Applications for the Reading/Language Arts Classroom:
- Students can respond to themes and topics of recent novels via related videos. The example in the screen capture (to the right) contains an introduction to the Holocaust video "Imaginary Witness." which studies Hollywood's portrayal of the Holocaust. This could follow a reading a Holocaust-related novel.
- Ask students to make inferences based upon what is shown but not explicitly stated. Or here.
- Require students to make a prediction about the video's outcome before proceeding.
- Use a video editing site to compile/cut videos to show just the good stuff. OR, simply read this brief tutorial on how to change it in the coding.
Here's a short how-to video on using Grockit Answers.
